New SSM/I and SSMIS Ocean Products - June, 2012
F08, F10, F11, F13, F14, F15, F16, F17 at Version-7.
SSM/I F15 Version-7 is RADCAL beacon contaminated and corrected from
2006-Aug-14 to 2011-Dec-31.
After 2011-Dec-31, F15 data are available only in Version-6.
SSM/I F15 Version-6 will continue to be produced in near real time.

Version-7 changes relative to V6: |
| vapor | vapor values between 50-60 mm increased by ~1%
vapor values greater than 60 mm increased by ~2-3% |
| cloud | cloud water values range from -0.05 to 2.45 mm
(cloud data format has changed) |
| rain | global mean rain rates increased by about 16%
(mostly due to changes in the extratropical values) |

New V7 read routines are available to scale the new cloud data format:
Since 2006-Aug-14 UTC, 22GHz(V) on SSM/I F15 has been degraded by a RADCAL beacon.
Details and residual errors: RADCAL beacon correction Version-2 (2009-April-19)
DO NOT use F15 data from 2006-Aug-14 forward for climate research.
